Journal #1

4/3/2015
12:38 AM

This world is too big and this body is too small. I want a whole lot to swallow, but I only have one mouth. I want to taste everything, to devour and savour what I see in my wake, but I only have one life. And it's limited. And it's short. And I only have one choice, only one time.

I always tell people what I want to become, each different to the other. I have many dreams yet to be granted, but I do not know which I have always most wanted. I am intelligent, sometimes not. I appreciate the aesthetics of life, but I hate irrational thoughts. I might be a genius that is not watered correctly as a seed. I'm incomplete, and I grew to be me. Sometimes I regret it. sometimes I don't. Sometimes I wish I had been pushed to my limit so I can grow to be stronger, like a bald eagle that breaks its own beak and talons against a rock, and plucks its own feathers until they all grow back.

Stronger than before.

Muscles grow back stronger when they are ripped, after all. I become stronger because of pain.

That is the balance of life. That is the black to the white, and the white in the black, and vice versa. That is why there is pain when there is happiness. That is why there is evil when there is good.

I must not complain, must not be afraid. There is a reason to every pain I endure. There is danger lurking in every happiness I get, and peace in every war I go through. There is always an end to everything, and a new beginning when there is an end.

This is life, this is not heaven. This is not hell. This is the balance of both. I get a set, I can't always be happy and I can't always be sad.

I must not be afraid, I must take all the risks. Remember of the danger that lurks, and the happiness that waits. Remember that this world is balance, and that I will not always be happy. But I will not always be sad either.

It all depends on what I do, and what I want to become.

I want it all, but I have to remember. I only have one life, one go, one chance.

I have to be brave, and choose wisely.

Mulling Waters

Ever since he was a little boy, he’s loved the ocean even more than his own safety. Sometimes, he wonders if dying in the water would be more of a blessing to him rather than tragedy, since it always means that you either drown from an accident, or be drowned by someone else or yourself. But really, he would rather die in the ocean than have his death by sickness— withering away on a bed somewhere; or maybe elsewhere and not on a bed at all. That’s even more tragic, to know and count the days until you die, thinking of what ifs and lamenting the days you have left, wishing you could still walk around and have fun. Sudden death is swift, clean and crisp. Having no moment to even think of what ifs, or regret whatever you did to get you in that situation.

It is never a peaceful dying—his grandmother had once said—to die in the ocean, when he came back laughing from being swept away by the waves when surfing.

Maybe not for others, but for him it is. As long as it’s in the ocean, there is nothing to regret. It would be his choice to be in the water if he ever dies in it. He’d be the one to be taking his body there in the first place. If an accident happened, it would be his own choice to be in it, indirectly.

He knows this, knows of the consequence of dying when he gets into the water. Knows it whenever he’s on the surfboard, enjoying the wind in his hair and the salt in the corner of his eyes. Knows it whenever he’s deep under, hands carefully caressing colourful corals and grazing slimy fishes. Knows it whenever he spends hours floating on his back in the dancing waters while gazing at the sky.

It’s always a sad tragedy, such an unfortunate incident that is, to ever die drowning,” his grandmother had said, tiny and wrinkled eyes gazing out the window, head shaking in a chastising manner. “Don’t ever take the ocean lightly, that place is not your friend, and will never be.”

He’d mulled back then, not knowing how to reply to such statement from an old and paranoid lady, whose husband had drowned in the ocean when they were only newlyweds. He knew then and he knows now, that the ocean truly isn’t a friend, but a home; home to fishes that feed the humans, and home to him that longs to be part of it.

For him, home isn’t a place for safety. It is a place that has a sense of fulfilment when you are inside, and longing once you are outside. It might not be safe, but it makes him feel contented. Safe is never a part of him. Never a part of his life, either.

His house now is the place for an alcoholic to sleep, and a dead brother to haunt anyway. It’s really not that big of a deal for him.

If he doesn’t die in his home in the ocean, it’s likely that he’ll die in his house instead anyway.

Many don't realize that when they complain about others, they are actually describing themselves in perfect details. Don't try correcting them, let them be as hypocritical as they want to be. When one does not wish to know about the truth, one will never try to seek it, less so be willing to hear about it from others. When we try to correct them, we are levelling ourselves to be on theirs, and we become no better by then. If they ask, answer, if not, silence is mostly gold.

You have nobody
Nobody has you
You want to be free
Want to be free to be
You

Freedom is loneliness
With no obligations to tie
You
Down

And loneliness is freedom
With no one else to tie
You
Down

Sometimes you wonder
If it's worth it
Sometimes you wonder
If worth it is
What freedom is

If you don't want trouble
Just be alone
And being alone is actually
Trouble in itself

In the end
Freedom is just
An ideal

The world is a funny place where life moves not around kindness to prove our worth, but the green paper of the West. It's also funny how many despicable people are treated more fairly just because their paper is the amount of their ego rather than the amount of their actual worth in everyone's life.

I woke up to the sound of a child screaming
I dreamt of a rat rustling near my head when sleeping

The room was really dark and foreboding
I saw an ugly mark there on my bedding

I went to my mum's room and threw myself on the bed while sobbing
The cloud was all red and there were kids being led through morning

I did not realize that I was merely dreaming
And waking up never feels more like running

I hate myself as much as I love myself.
Criticizing others when you are not perfect yourself is fucking funny. Trying to make yourself look more worthy than you really are is too. When you claim that people just merely do not know you, nobody cares, more so when your attitude is still shit. But some just can't help it, needing some proof of worth in one's self to just get by in living. Still, doesn't excuse half of what spews out of one's mouth.

02:08 PM
There were times when I found several people on the internet to be immensely interesting that I stalked them to the very root.
In the end, disappointment was all I feel. Those people, they are not as perfect as I picture them to be. Not as lovely as I deemed them to be. Nor as deep.
They are pretentious people, who write things to make you think that they are deep, who use smart sounding words to make them look fancier than they are, who tell exaggerated, epic descriptions about things they like and gush about. While really, they are just pretentious bongheads who write questionable personality depiction of themselves. Writing about how very weird they are and how others perceive them as so too, which I now believe is the correct way to look at them. Shunning from all things "mainstream", because what? Because they are too unique, apparently.
They are insecure people who don't feel safe, people who are often perceived as less that they need to prove themselves too hard. On the internet. Ha. Ok.
I'm such a bleak person. Who knows, I might be one of those people.

02:31 PM
I doubt my writing ability.
I'm bad at grammar, and I'm bad at expressing myself to others.

Bleep Bloop

[I just want to start talking about nonsense. Bear with me.]

 Nightmarish town is Silent Hill.

I dreamt about Silent Hill and there I saw bodies with no heads pepper along the swerving roads and yes it was swerving because I did not see where I was heading for this car I drove was going out of control and thank God no one was meddling. Before I crash let me tell you..

.. about the end of the world since it is falling. I saw you through a one way mirror, laughing. You looked so beautiful, so I stalk you, I creep you, and when you run I will go and chase you, giggling.

Sometimes I Forget the Time of the Year

It's 2014 and I still sometimes end up writing 2012 on my notes. I have to work more on my attention span and focus, so that events like forgetting to do chores wouldn't happen.
Like this one time, I was cleaning some junks from my room when I found my old Wii, forgotten inside a cupboard where I used to keep my snacks in and some DVDs. Of course, instead of cleaning, I completely forgot about the matter at hand and played with the Wii instead. That is one example of how fast my attention can divert.

I used to be a whole different person from three years prior. I mean, I changed a freaking lot. Completely. A hundred and eighty degree. Especially when taking into account on how everybody else around me change, I think I'm by far the most who've altered so much.
Sometimes I miss the old everything, when nothing was anything and things didn't ever make sense and all I did then was talk shit or worry about acne.
Now I have to worry about trying to to fit myself in a world that's changing too fast in pace, and acne.

Such worldliness dilemma.

Anyway, I want to tell about a favourite Death Note fanfiction author of mine. She-- by the way I know that it's a she since she posted a voice meme not too long ago. But I don't know, she could be using Autotune for all I know. Wow that's such a redundant sentence.
So as I was saying, she's one of my favourite authors. She goes by the name dratsing on fanfiction, and man, I've never seen a DN fan that's as fluid in conjuring up interesting, unthinkable alternate universes as her. She gives a whole new depth to the characters, and her way of telling stories makes you feel like running while reading. What I like most about her is how comfortable she seems to be when talking about the DN casts, as if she were just recalling about an old friend of hers or something, like as if she knew them personally. She calls herself Al.

Al makes wonderful DN related videos on her Youtube account, and I must admit that I tend to spend a major part of my free time frequenting her channel. I stalk her tumblr as well since she posts lots of snippets about DN characters' dynamic stories, and "shitty AU ideas" as she calls it.

There's also one other author that I absolutely adore. Operating under the username slightowl and pseudonym Lita, the works of Lita's are absolutely magnificent. Lita can give depth through only four freaking whole sentences in the opening paragraph, and her English is exceptionally beautiful. The words chosen there are just... just. They give me the feel ok. I can't describe how the feel feels like (genius me, another redundant sentence here we come).
Ugh I just love them stories. Lita makes short one-shots in only around 400 count of words and can still nail it full on the depth. This person also makes stories outside the cannon, or in another word, AU. I think slightowl even rivals dratsing in making AUs, even though Lita is a precedence in the field compared to Al who's just recently started posting. Not saying that Lita is the one who invented DN AUs, just that slightowl was there first before dratsing. Al said that slightowl is her favourite author though, and I've seen them corresponding on Tumblr as well.

Here is one of the many videos made by Al:

Tick
Tick
Tock

I hear the clicks of clock

When I heard your croak

You asked for my help
My dear old mishap
You are being such a sap
You once had made me sad

I owe you nothing
I am now the king
Standing
Before your being

I see you suffer
But I can care for no other
But my father, mother, and
Brother

Thought Conundrum

We often contradict ourselves.

I am many things and many things I am
I have sides
I wear masks
I am kindness laced with ice and
Grudges layered with smiles

I laugh when I hate and
I sneer when I feel
I play with your mind and I
Mess with your heart

We are alike
We are not

I like giving riddles
I hate to learn

I like to meddle but
Cross me and you'll
Burn

Nothing is honest
Nothing is true
Believe me too fast and
You'll end up in
Woe
I can make you
Fall
Deeper than before
Turn you loyal
Turn you confused

Or is it early in the morning.

Sense of Loneliness

So
     Alone
          {Alone}

I was born born born
Alone

And I will die
     Alone
          {Alone}
               {Alone}

I am
No more
Afraid
No more hopeful
No more
No more
No

Wish there were someone
Who thought
Who thought
Constantly of
Me
Wish there were someone

So afraid
So afraid
And sad and
So so
Sad

So so

Mèngxiǎng | 梦想 | Dream

I dreamed of rotting babies, of insects the size of my fist and my fingers elongated and white and sharp and spindly like those of a dead corpse's. Sometimes, I hear odd snippets of dialogues in languages I have no knowledge of, there stood a half-monkey-half-horse creature walking on its hind legs, pointing at my flaws with ugly burned claws. The sun was cold and the moon dyed in mucky purple. What was odd was that I found those things not at all odd in their outlandish states.

I was a girl whose race was not mine entirely. Chinese, whilst I was mixed, age not more than the quantity of the fingers on my one hand. My hair was long and straight and black like coal, nose small, lips forever etched in a frown. I felt like I knew I belong here as much as I knew that I was not supposed to be here. Stood in all its gloriousness was a red Chinese temple, white and gold lampions up above my head, hanging from strings stretched from dragon carved woods mounted on the ornamental roof to poles at a far place behind my back. The sky was white.
Walked through a woman whose face reminded me of an old cat, even though the lips that grinned at me were supple and red and glossy. There obviously wasn't any wrinkle to indicate any age past 35. Her cheeks were shallow, eyes squinted as she smiled down, hair sliding and brushing her shoulders, falling down like cold water on a glass of ice. She had hair like mine, which wasn't mine but was mine, it was mine, it was in the dream. I didn't remember that it was ringlets originally, I didn't remember I was not a small girl at all. I knew somehow that she was Mother but she wasn't the Mother I was supposed to remember. That woman didn't look like she particularly liked me. Perhaps she wasn't Mother after all.

"Take this bag of snails to Grandmama, I will be waiting here when you are back."

My dress was singlet, short and dark green, worn old by time. The woman patted my fringed hair and straightened her shoulders. I did not remember what she called me before she went back to where she came from, though I believe it was a Chinese name. I nodded, and she was gone.

I peeked inside the bag and found, plenty bodies of snails, twisting in all directions possible, gel-like skin glistening. They were disgusting. It was bizarre. Curious.

The memories I had were not mine, but they were even though they weren't. It was me who experienced the things I saw but as I said, I was not even a full Chinese young girl and my hair was not straight. I had visions of sleeping on rattan bed, a lovely lady stirring porridge inside a huge pot, the walls of the kitchen full of concerning cracks on their surface. Smokes were ever present, my neck always wet with sweat.

Rows of bald men and young boys in yellow clothing practiced movements of Kung Fu on the once deserted ground, brown dusts flying as their feet stomped and kicked and slid through dry soil. I coughed, dirt getting into my eyes, the sound of my hacking voice sputtered through yells of encouragement. I remembered walking away, to a place I did not know. I only knew that I was supposed to go to Grandmama's.

I did not remember how I proceeded until I was standing at the edge of a street, somewhere in the heart of London. It was foggy but it was not, I think it was cold but I didn't really feel either sensation of warm or cold. I think, it felt like being inside a stagnant room, a room where the windows were closed while the air conditioner had just been turned off.
I did not know what I could possibly be doing there, I only knew of the waiting. Standing alone, watching rare pedestrians making their way up and down the road. I was quite alone. I hoped something would happen soon.
Not long after, a double-decker bus stopped, gloomy and sad in the cold atmosphere of the city, the machine sighing as it slowed down in front of me. Sighing, like a train does when it stops. It was painted in dark forest green, the windows tinted black and I suspected that the curtains inside were drawn as well. I knew then, that I was waiting for the bus. I should have known all along, why wasn't I cognizant?

My fingers were small, round around the edges, the nails like young moon in the early time of the month. I hummed a tune, head nodding, feet swaying as I stepped up the stairs into the opened door of the large vehicle. Then the bus started moving and the doors slid closed. I held onto a pole, body tilting from side to side as I put all my weight on one feet.

"Come sit over here, young girl. It's dangerous to play near the door," said somebody, voice quivering with age. It was then that I noticed the interior. All the seats were, unsurprisingly, dark green. There was a man at the right second row of the front part, wearing a cap, sitting alone, silently. A woman with short, roll-curled brown hair, sitting quietly on the left. It was very silent save for the rolling of wheels against gravel, their bodies moving along the rumbling bus. I was not wrong, the curtains were all drawn. They were black, nearly blending along the dark theme of the fabric-covered wall. Only two neon stick lamps were aglow, flickering, worryingly. Buzzing as if wanting to burst.

MOOD PICTURES | Source: Tumblr

It was an old woman who called me. Sat at the very back of the bus, on the long seat, at the right. Caucasian, kind eyes, neither plump nor skinny, dressed in a blue tweed and a flower brooch pinned on the breast. The kind of woman you'd see giving breads to pigeons or knitting wool socks on park benches. She looked harmless, I suppose. Never can you judge a book by its cover, after all. At the far left of the seat was another old woman, dressed in pink, snoring peacefully.

"Sit next to me," she asked. I shrugged, skipped towards her, and threw my bum on the seat. My legs were kicking, my grip on the bag which contained the snails tightening. I was supposed to give it Grandmama but Grandmama is dead, so who was this Grandmama I was supposed to give this bag of snails to?

"What are you doing alone? Where is your Mama?"

I smiled, shook my head and stared right ahead. I could not see the driver. The bus had no driver, probably. It was dingy inside. Odd, I think I might have heard a train from where I sit here. No, in fact, I think I could feel being inside a train. It felt like I sat inside a train instead of a bus. It was too dark to make sure I was still on a road, instead of being underground. Underground train. Where everywhere you looked are either dark or electric bright.

She started to try chatting with me, her words I paid no attention to. I did not understand most of the things she said, they were all nonsense. Of some radio station she used to hear on her prime years, of failed marriages (no dear, no, you can never be sure of the right one. There is no right one. Only endurance and patience), of sun-bathed flowers and blood-drenched dances and cotton-stuffed heads. Nonsense and nonsense and this woman was probably senile, lost on her way home and ended boarding the bus for no remembered reason.

Somehow, I grew older and older as the bus started turning smaller and smaller while the old woman becoming closer and closer. The curtains shriveled, the windows cracked and fell off. Then I was inside a broken car instead of a bus and the driver was a pot-bellied man with a funny mustache. I was wearing long jeans and a red shirt instead of the singlet dress from before.

"Get out," he said, "you're not continuing with us. It's not your time."

We weren't in London, we were on a street near my house and I remembered, I remembered Father who smokes three packets of cigarettes a day, remembered Mother whose hair is short and brown, and myself, hair coiling at the ends, likes to laze around on Sunday mornings and eats cereal for more than twice a day.

"I don't want to," I whined, "it's hot outside."

Staring out the shattered window, I could see clearly that we were right in front of my house, the house I had forgotten and now remembered. Perhaps I had missed, perhaps I hadn't, possibly yes, if I didn't find it too hot to step out of the car into the boiling heat of never ending summer. I didn't want to get out. I want to get back. Back where though, I didn't particularly know.

"Look kid, it's no difference outside or inside, both are hot. We have no air conditioner here, don't you notice?"

Yes, yes I noticed, but not before he pointed the fact out to me. I didn't care. I didn't want to go back inside my house.

"Just please continue moving, I'm bored." I pleaded, toes curling anxiously.

"It's okay dear, you can continue going with us sometime later, when it's time." I've almost forgotten about the old woman. She was smiling sympathetically, as if knowing something I wasn't supposed to learn about. As if knowing the secrets of every guarded secrets. As if knowing my name, my thoughts, my masks. As if knowing my time. "For now, please get off the car, darling."

I hesitated, but they were both now looking at me, the driver and the old lady. I huffed, stepped a foot out and hopped off. When I looked back, it was nothing but a rotten car I've been in all along. There was no lady, no driver, nobody. The seats eaten by moths, doors tattered, machines rusty.

Somewhere then. Somewhere other than home. Somewhere not hot, I suppose. I started walking.

"Once upon a time, I, Chuang Chou, dreamed I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was Chou. Soon I awakened, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man."
- Zhuangzi

When I blinked, I was a Chinese young girl again. Hair long and straight and black like coal, nose small, lips forever etched in a frown and back at the temple, holding a bag of snails while watching men and young boys practicing Kung Fu movements.

"Only after the great awakening will we realize that this is the great dream. And yet fools think they are awake, presuming to know that they are ruler of herdsmen. How dense!"
-Zhuangzi

When I woke up, reality was tipping between either the false and the truth, its edges fried, the clarity of it becoming vague and I was not sure. I was not sure whether I dream to wake up and live, or if I go through the haze of day only to eventually live in my dream every night.

Solipsism

WHISPERED

"Do you believe in coincidence?"

[No.]

"Why?"

[There is no particular reason, I just don't.]

"Since this whole reality is a big chain reaction of events?"

[Probably.]

"And what is reality?"

[Reality is me. I am the only concrete truth.]

"What are you getting at? To be honest, your view scares me."

[Everything around me scares me. How do you suppose I came up with that perspective?]

PAUSE

[It's only so that, when something pains me, I could think back to my view. That this whole thing is merely a test, nothing is real. The pain I felt, was not real.]

10 October 2013

Seemingly Minuscule

One left detail, another brushed attempt at trying to be acknowledged, trying to be something, striving for recognition. How is the world's view through a lost child's eyes? What is politeness and respect, in their most basic of definition? Does acting religious make you a good person, notwithstanding other factors?

What are we doing living. The real purpose?

251 babies are born into the world every minute. The current death rate of the world is 107 deaths per minute.

Cries of joy, cries of lament.

Every single minute.

Do you remember this particular song about how wonderful the world is? What a Wonderful World. I hear babies cry, I watch them grow. They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know.

When I went to a hypermarket not long ago with Father, I saw how everything became more practical, economical, as to make everyone's life easier. Then it passed my mind, what's the point of it all? These people would die in the end anyway, what are they trying to make in their life? Buying easy-to-build wardrobes for their growing children who need new, bigger ones. Trying to form happy families, raising their babies who would later turn insolent in their teenage years. Trying, trying, trying to reach the ideal life. Have a family, work a job with decent salary, then die after making sure to pass on certain amount of wealth for your descendants. Really, what's the point?

This may sound bleak-- no, it is bleak, in this way of thinking. The world, while getting better, is getting worse as well in many aspects. People are not more happier than they were back then in 1900s. Or the years before that, or the years before that. Babies grow, babies die when they get old. How many names have gone forgotten since then? How many life stories have gone unnoticed? What is the point of living our life when in the end, it would all be forgotten?

I asked what's the point of it all. I did not wholly understand it until Father told me this:

"We live to make each other's lives better. Happiness is when we respect and help each other."

Realize that the point of us living is to take care of what we have at the moment. It is what makes the world a wonderful place to live in. To preserve the earth, to laugh, to care, to not be indifferent of others' sufferings. Our names might be forgotten, our graves unmarked, but our actions live. People remember kindness and it passes on. Teach your children to treat others well, and they would teach their own children again to do the same. Life is not about getting what we want, or making sure that we'd never be forgotten, or even reaching the ideal one. Life is about making other people's lives easier, and thus, ours easier as well. Life, is to take care of what's around us.

Someone could be religious, praying five times a day, or going to church every Sunday, visiting temples every weekend, but it doesn't guarantee that you are a good person by doing so. What actions do you take? Do you help others?

Do you make their lives easier? Or do you make them worse? How do you treat others?

Blinding

The things you thought you wanted became obsolete once you've got it in the palm of your hand, dull and seemingly unworthy once you've tasted and quenched the curiosity you had.

Or is it just us humans that would never be satisfied with what we already have.

This is the life that you prayed for

But now all the lights are blinding you

These are the moments people live for

But your heart is hard to what's surrounding you

We are often blinded by our ideals about how life should play out, how things should go, how everything must proceed according to plan. Everything we designed was to suit those ideals we've conceived in our heads. But then again, what would we do once we got it all? Become satisfied? How very unlikely.

Human would never be satisfied. It is undeniable, it is in our nature. Some people might find peace in accepting things for the way they are, but that is more of the hard work of self-restraint than just plainly accepting. Reality has to hit first before we can fully welcome acceptance.

I found this rather interesting song right at the peak of my saturation where everything just looked painfully constant and numbing. It was mind-opening. There is nothing overly impressive about the song, the lyrics are simple, the tunes are just quite catchy. But sometimes, the simplest of thing could be what we're actually looking for. And for me, I was looking for the meaning of reaching fame and glory. The answer: it was all empty.

I'm tired of empty smiles and nights alone

I'm sick of these paper stars, illuminating this hollow globe

Surrounded by your eyes, I almost want to float

Away, away

I'm filled by raising hands until the skies

But these moments are so rare, are like diamonds in disguise

Although my mind is here, my heart just wants to fly

Away, away

Away, away
Away, away

Away, away

JAKWOB- BLINDING

I will try translating the meaning behind the lyrics, you can judge anyway you want it.

Paper stars is a parable to transitory fame or wealth whilst the hollow globe is another term for the current state of our world. It is hollow in some sense, full of people donning on masks to impress others and celebrities looking gorgeous because of airbrushes. It is necessary, it is part of our live. After all, many chosen to be lied than to be told the truth. Many prefer to live in fantasy than to face reality.

Raising hands are people cheering at you, the rest you can perceive yourselves. Decide if the song is mind-opening, or just quite flimsy to inspiring. Or unimportant, really.

This is irrelevant.

I noticed that I sounded rather haughty or uncaring or even sarcastic when answering some of the comments received in my prior posts. Do not take those replies into heart, I was just being lazy or annoyed at the spams I obtained. Don't bother commenting if you didn't even read the post. Don't bother commenting if your intention was only to plaster your link in the hope that I would follow you because I wouldn't and I don't particularly care about following or being followed. I don't even know how to follow blogs I am that stupid.

This blog is only for me indulging in self-satisfaction. That's why the name is indulgement, though there is really no such word as that in the dictionary but then again, who cares. I love thought-out comments, not pointless praises.

Generic Facade

Following the mainstream of these days fashion has become awfully stagnant. The outfits people wear become forgettable, akin to each others' and unbearably typical.

The same as personality, most people in our society have personalities that more or less, have little to almost no differences to one another. It becomes easy to dissect and estimate their reactions to the tied events. Take a deeper look and notice how shallowness surrounds us. I'm not saying that most people are boring (merely implying, perhaps) since everybody is different—unique in their own ways— but we became biased by the view of society of how things should and shouldn't go. This, makes us become generic. This, makes us become easy to develop prejudices among things that don't go along with the society's view.

Society molds us into generic people. We are not free to become ourselves. Essentially, I am saying that people are boring because they are too influenced. Too biased. Prejudicing much. People worry that they will not be accepted by their peers so they follow what's been set in their path to befriend others. We often have to act the way we are expected to. Facades are what make us fit into our surroundings.

Breaking into deeper part, the root of these biased views is actually the media. Media molds society. Society molds us. We became society, and we then mold other people to become just like us- or at the very least, to act the way we expect them to.

Speaking of such, this reminds me of one other thing.

Universal mentation contrives idealism for society.

This revelation came to me when my Sociology and Native Speaker teachers gave us a view about people's idealism of beauty. Media creates the idea of beauty. Like in the 50's where curvy women rule the front covers of magazines until Twiggy step in and completely changed people's perception of woman's ideal body figure. Also, the majority of women in Indonesia started adapting long black, straight, silky hair when it became popular because of the advertisements shown on tellies. I still remember my elementary days in 2008 where many of my friends would straighten their hair when rebonding became a trend. The generic ideas of beauty here are having straight hair and white skin.

Media influences the society, fogging our opinion to certain extent.

Oh, just a side note.
We were wearing the exact same outfits when we met. Without making any agreement prior.

Inner Turbulence

What I do everyday are primarily be done with the reason to only waste my life further. Like writing in here.

I hate almost everything. Yet I love them too as much as I hate them. It's a rather contradictory sentiment. I don't know what I actually feel for most of the time. I don't understand myself that I'm almost sure I can understand other people better than understanding my own person. Sometimes I'm even sure that I can read people to their very essences, their true selves; much better than I do myself.

I have sociopathic tendencies by that of an 82.25% according to this doubt-able quiz I took on the net. It's just a quiz anyway. Still bothers me though. What I found somewhat accurate to the point of it being laughable, is that the quiz also said that I have a narcissistic personality disorder by a high probability. It's not like what you think, about taking self-centered pictures only. Narcissists are more of very selfish creatures. They will do anything to gain what they want, need. They care little to none about others. I care very much about the people I hold dear, but there are days where I just feel empty. It does sound cliche- I have no better word to properly explain what I feel. Narcissists lack empathy, arrogant, and they become jealous easily of others' achievements.

The reason why. They want only themselves to be admired by people. Seeing others get admiration can make them become irrationally jealous.

Sociopaths have shallow emotions, thus making them can only experience emotions on the surface level. Emotions don't really touch their heart. They lie frequently. Lying for them is like singing in the shower. We don't care when we sing alone in the shower. We do it shamelessly, obvious and definite. Pathological lying. It is an incapacity for them to love as well.

A sociopath could be a narcissist and so is the other way around. They are akin, but two different things altogether.

"A sociopath needs victim while narcissist needs admirer."

"A Narcissist lacks empathy in the form of belittling, name-calling, and defaming another’s character. A Sociopath lacks empathy in a criminal or physically violent way." -Source

You'll be baffled by how many things you can discover about yourself only through answering several simple questions.
